So two days have gone by now, and I have to say it’s been a pretty solid release. There was a minor hiccup about an hour after launch on Sunday, but since then it’s been pretty sweet. I have to say though, there are some really hardcore players out there. I’ve seen people on gaining levels for like 36 hours straight, and ya these people aren’t being Power Leveled either. I’m just amazed how people can stay up that long without sleep, playing a game that’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

As for me, I’ve played a ton but I have had my 8 hours sleep too. I’m at level 20 and loving every second of it. It’s awesome knowing that your character isn’t going to get deleted this time around. Finally all that time you spend playing your characters won’t get erased. Hooray!

Over the next couple of days I plan on easing up a bit on the leveling and start putting the points into crafting. I’ve been good with leveling up Vitality as I go so that’s a big plus, and I did spend about 10 minutes today skilling up Armorsmithing to 30 so that’s a start. I can’t wait to get my hands on the juicy level 23 and 27 blue crafted armor!

I’m also preparing for war tomorrow as I expect a lot of Elyos to be storming Morheim. I’ve killed a few today and just before I wrote this post I got owned by 7 Elyos which is always fun. My tip to you – don’t get caught with your pants down. When in PvP areas try to keep your health near max at all times, bring some speed / status removing pots, and most of all try to be aware of your surroundings. I mean there isn’t much you’re going to do 7 on 1, but you could find yourself up against 1 or 2 Elyos, and you don’t want to get owned without puting up a fight since you were too low on health.

Ready to rock and roll

Only a few minutes left until servers go live for people that have pre-ordered the game.

You’ll be able to catch me on the Triniel server, so if you want to chit chat, you know where to find me. Just leave the spam to a min ;)

See you server side!

Have you guys ever wondered how you saw people in Closed and Open Beta’s have all the leet gear and you didn’t? Well there could of been a few options, but most likely it was them getting lucky. However there were some like myself that rather just buy things that popped up on the auction house since getting all the good drops just for you is near impossible. In the Aion Closed Beta alone I had obtained over 18 Million Kinah, and most of it was from my own hardwork (if you consider gaming hardwork) and not from just getting lucky and selling a few pieces for over 400,000 Kinah each.

How’d I do it you ask? Well it’s rather simple, I actually just played the game it was meant to be played. I didn’t just spend all my time getting to level 20, then 25, and then finally 30. No I spent my time playing the game like I normally would have been if the game was already launched. I gathered, I crafted, I grinded, enjoyed all the fun PvP, and yes even did a few instances.

So then the quesiton becomes how did I make all that Kinah? Basically as I leveled up or waited for mobs to pop, I was gathering Vitality items. The stuff you pick up at the start of the game aren’t worth very much, but as you go higher and higher, the stuff you pick up becomes more valuable and of course people will buy it from you. Just from gathering a certain item I made over 6 Million Kinah and that’s from a low end item. Just imagine the possibilites when you are hitting max level and providing all sorts of crafting items for people.

Of course you could always setup your private shop some where and sell a certain thing…where is the question. What you didn’t think I was gonna tell you my best secret right away did you?

Alright guys and gals, the Aion Pre-Select is now up and running. You may reserve no more than 2 names for yourself pre-launch, and this includes across all servers. Make sure you choose wisely and watch out for servers with crazy zerg guilds.

Also a side reward for us is that we have news that Aion will NOT be launching with Game Guard, so any problems GG related will be gone…at least for now. They haven’t said they are taking it out completely, but at least we will enjoy Aion without that crap Game Guard running in our background. That doesn’t mean you can cheat though so don’t even think about it.
